DAMAS
Board · 1 on 1 · Damas inglesas (English draughts / checkers)
Classic draughts: jumps, kings and captures.
This game is for playing with others: create a party, share the code and play the same rounds.
HOW IT PLAYS
Twelve men per side on the dark squares of an 8x8 board. Men move one square diagonally forward and capture by jumping over an enemy onto the empty square beyond.
Capturing is compulsory, and if the same piece can capture again after a jump, it must keep going until the chain ends. When several captures are available you may choose any of them: there is no majority rule here (that is Turkish draughts).
A man reaching the last row is crowned king and the turn ends there, even if it could keep capturing. A king moves and captures on all four diagonals, but only one square at a time: it does not fly. You lose if you run out of pieces or legal moves.
CONTROLS
Tap the piece and then the destination. With the D-pad: move the cursor and press FIRE to pick; tapping the selected piece again releases it.

HOW POINTS ARE SCORED
TO SCORE MORE
· Compulsory capture is a weapon: a piece offered on purpose can force your opponent into a chain that leaves their side wide open.
· Do not move the men on your own back row unless you must. While they sit there, the opponent cannot crown on that side.
· A king is worth far more than a man because it goes backwards, but crowning ends your turn: do not count on chaining a promotion into another capture.
