REVERSI

REVERSI

Board · 1 on 1 · Reversi (Inglaterra, 1883) · conocido como Othello

Flank your rival's discs and flip them.

This game is for playing with others: create a party, share the code and play the same rounds.

HOW IT PLAYS

An 8x8 board with four discs in the centre. You play by placing a disc so that it flanks a line of enemy discs between the new one and another of yours: every flanked disc flips colour.

If you have no move that flips anything you pass automatically and the opponent plays on. When neither side can move, the discs are counted and whoever has more wins.

CONTROLS

Tap the cell, or D-pad and FIRE. Playable cells are marked with a dot; you can turn those off from the menu if you prefer playing blind.

TO SCORE MORE

· Being ahead at the halfway point means nothing: a single move can flip a whole diagonal. Only the end counts.

· The four corners can never be flipped, because there is no cell beyond them to flank from. They are worth more than twenty discs in the middle.

· For the same reason, beware the cells next to a corner: landing there usually hands the corner to your opponent.

· Having few discs mid-game is good: it leaves you more available moves and forces the opponent to open up.
