HOW THE DAY WENT
Friday, October 23 brought BURGERTIME, at level 5, and 4 people played.
ADRIAN won with 8,700 points; ELVIS TECK finished 1,800 behind. POLINOMIOS rounds out the podium with 5,150.
THE SCREEN
Clearing the first screen leads on to the rest, in an order that depends on the day. The same seed for everyone: the same enemies and pieces in the same order.
THE MUSIC
Joplin published it in 1901, two years after the success of Maple Leaf Rag.
Public domain, as square- and triangle-wave chiptune.
ABOUT TODAY'S GAME
The chef runs along floors and ladders walking over the ingredients of three burgers. Each ingredient has four pieces that sink as you step on them; once all four are down it drops to the floor below, and if another part of the same burger sits there it knocks that one down too, in a chain all the way to the plate. With all twelve pieces on their plates you move on to the next screen.
- Always step on the highest ingredient of each burger: as it falls it knocks down everything below, and every fall pays 50. That way 13 to 15 full walks clear a screen; starting from the bottom takes 32 to 42.
