FROGGER
Reflexes · Timing · Frogger (Konami, 1981)
Cross the road and the river without getting squashed.
Free play does not count for the leaderboard: it keeps your best on this device only. Today's challenge is one run per person.
HOW IT PLAYS
Each line of the map is a lane with its content, type, speed and direction: cars that run you over, water that drowns you and logs that carry you. The homes to fill are at the top.
There is a clock per crossing: the yellow bar at the top turns red for the last ten seconds.
CONTROLS
Directions: each press is a one-cell hop. On a phone, swiping hops too.

TO SCORE MORE
· The 10 points per row are paid only the first time you reach that height. Backing off to wait for a gap costs nothing, but does not pay again either.
· The home bonus is mostly time: arriving with 20 seconds is 400, double a last-gasp arrival. Crossing fast pays more than crossing safe.
· On the water you do not move, the log moves you. Jump onto a log thinking where it will be two hops later, not where it is now.
· The outer homes are the most expensive to reach: fill them first, while you still have clock and the middle ones are open.
