MISSILE CMD
Defense · Aim · Missile Command (Atari, 1980)
Protect your cities from the missile rain.
Free play does not count for the leaderboard: it keeps your best on this device only. Today's challenge is one run per person.
HOW IT PLAYS
You move the crosshair with the D-pad and FIRE launches an anti-missile from the central base that explodes where the crosshair was. The blast destroys every missile it touches, so one well-placed ball can take several.
You get 20 anti-missiles per wave. On high waves the missiles split in the air. You lose when no city is left.
CONTROLS
Directions move the crosshair, FIRE launches. The crosshair takes time to travel: lead it.

HOW POINTS ARE SCORED

TO SCORE MORE
· Cities are the score: 100 per city at the end of every wave, wave after wave. Losing one is not losing 100 points, it is losing 100 for every wave you have left.
· The 5 points per unused anti-missile reward accuracy, but never save ammo at the cost of a city: the maths does not work.
· Aim at the gap two missiles will cross, not at the missile you can see. The blast lasts and grows: shoot ahead.
· When a missile splits, the head is worth the same as each child (25). Burst the trunk high, before it divides.
